Bi-State Advanced Travelers Information System, ATIS

The Bi-State ATIS program is being designed to provide travel information for the resident and the visitor to the Bi-State region. The initial real-time travel information that the system will house will be crash location, work zone locations, special events time and routes, and weather conditions. It is being designed to aid in alternative route selection as well as in advancing safe travel through travel and transit anomalies. It will also be the platform for the coordinated effort of the River Valley Transportation Providers in the presentation of route information, individual program eligibility criteria, and real-time transit vehicle location. Implementation of the Bi-State ATIS program is anticipated within 6 months after the completion of the Bi-State GIS program.
